Job Description:

AutomateNexus is expanding our global capabilities, and we’re looking for an AI Project Manager based in the United Kingdom to lead client delivery while helping us explore opportunities in the UK and European markets.

This is a hybrid role. You’ll spend the majority of your time managing AI automation projects—coordinating timelines, communicating with clients, and ensuring successful delivery. You’ll also dedicate time to UK market development, helping us understand the landscape, identify opportunities, and lay the groundwork for future expansion.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in project management but has ambitions beyond it. You’ll work directly with the CEO, gain exposure to all aspects of the business, and have a clear path to grow into a UK Director role based on performance and market opportunity.

Responsibilities:

Project Management (70%)

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of AI automation projects for US and international clients
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and milestones; track progress and communicate status to stakeholders
  • Coordinate between clients, internal teams, and technical resources to ensure deliverables meet requirements
  • Identify risks early, escalate issues appropriately, and drive resolution
  • Document processes, lessons learned, and best practices to improve future project delivery
  • Ensure client satisfaction through proactive communication and quality delivery

UK Market Development (30%)

  • Research and identify potential clients, industries, and opportunities in the UK and European markets
  • Build relationships with local networks, attend relevant events, and represent AutomateNexus in the region
  • Provide market intelligence reports on UK/EU demand for AI automation services
  • Support business development efforts including outreach, proposal development, and introductory calls
  • Advise on localization needs—messaging, compliance considerations, and market positioning
  • Lay the foundation for a potential UK office and client base

General

  • Collaborate closely with the CEO on strategic priorities and company growth initiatives
  • Contribute to internal process improvements and operational efficiency
  • Maintain clear documentation and reporting across all responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in project management, preferably in technology, consulting, or automation
  • Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Based in the United Kingdom with knowledge of the UK business landscape
  • Familiarity with AI, automation, or technology services
  • Comfortable with client-facing communication and relationship building

Bonus Points

  • Experience with AI automation platforms (Zapier, Make.com, n8n) or CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot)
  • Background in business development, sales support, or market research
  • Experience working with US-based companies or clients
  • MBA or advanced degree in business, technology, or related field
  • Existing network in UK technology or business consulting sectors

Growth Path

This role is designed with growth in mind. After 6 months of strong performance—demonstrating project delivery excellence and tangible progress on UK market development—there is a clear path to promotion to UK Director, with expanded responsibilities including:

  • Leading UK/EU business development and client acquisition
  • Building and managing a small UK-based team
  • P&L responsibility for UK operations
  • Strategic input on European expansion
