Job Description:
AutomateNexus is establishing a formal presence in the United Kingdom, and we’re looking for a Director of UK Operations to lead this expansion. This role is responsible for building our client base in the UK and European markets, overseeing project delivery in the region, and laying the foundation for a sustainable UK operation.
As Director, you’ll operate as the face of AutomateNexus in the UK—developing business relationships, closing deals, managing client engagements, and eventually building a small team. You’ll report directly to the CEO and have significant autonomy in shaping how we grow in this market.
This is a leadership role for someone who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You’ll be responsible for both revenue generation and operational excellence in the region.
Responsibilities:
Business Development & Revenue (40%)
- Develop and execute a UK/EU market strategy aligned with company growth goals
- Identify, pursue, and close new client opportunities in the region
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects
- Represent AutomateNexus at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings
- Develop proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage the full sales cycle
- Meet quarterly revenue targets for the UK region
Client Delivery & Account Management (30%)
- Oversee delivery of all UK/EU client projects, ensuring quality and timeliness
- Serve as the senior point of contact for UK-based clients
- Manage client relationships, renewals, and expansion opportunities
- Coordinate with US-based teams to ensure seamless service delivery across time zones
- Resolve escalations and ensure client satisfaction
Operations & Team Building (20%)
- Establish operational processes for the UK office
- Hire, onboard, and manage UK-based contractors or employees as the region grows
- Manage regional P&L and report on financial performance
- Ensure compliance with UK employment, tax, and business regulations
- Build a culture aligned with AutomateNexus values
Strategy & Leadership (10%)
- Provide market intelligence and strategic input to the CEO on European expansion
- Identify partnership opportunities, channels, and alliances in the region
- Contribute to company-wide strategy discussions as a member of the leadership team
- Represent the UK perspective in product, service, and go-to-market decisions
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in project management, business development, or operations
- Demonstrated success in client acquisition or revenue generation
- Experience managing client relationships and delivering professional services
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and motivate a team
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Self-directed with the ability to operate independently and make sound decisions
- Based in the United Kingdom with established professional network
- Familiarity with AI, automation, or technology consulting services
- Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) preferred

- Experience scaling a regional office or market for a US-based company
- Background in AI automation platforms (Zapier, Make.com, n8n, Salesforce)
- Existing relationships with UK enterprises or SMBs in target industries
