Job Description:

Data is the foundation of every automation we build. Before we can eliminate manual work, we need to understand what’s happening—and that starts with analysis. We’re looking for a Data Analyst to help clients uncover inefficiencies, quantify opportunities, and measure the impact of automation on their operations.

As a Data Analyst at AutomateNexus, you’ll dig into client data to surface patterns, identify bottlenecks, and build dashboards that track real business outcomes. You’ll partner with consultants during discovery to translate operational chaos into clear insights. You’ll create visualizations that tell compelling stories and help clients understand not just what to automate—but the ROI they can expect.

This role is ideal for someone who loves turning messy data into clarity and communicating findings to non-technical stakeholders. You’re comfortable with SQL, Excel, and visualization tools—and you see data as a tool for driving action, not just producing reports.

Responsibilities:

Analysis & Insights

  • Analyze client operational data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and automation opportunities
  • Develop metrics and KPIs that quantify automation impact and ROI
  • Conduct exploratory analysis to uncover trends and patterns that inform strategy
  • Translate complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations

Reporting & Visualization

  • Design and build interactive dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
  • Create automated reports that track automation performance and business outcomes
  • Develop visualizations that communicate insights to clients and stakeholders
  • Maintain documentation for all reports, dashboards, and data sources

Data Management

  • Clean, validate, and prepare datasets for analysis
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues across client systems
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to improve data pipelines and accessibility
  • Work with CRM and operational data from Salesforce, HubSpot, and other platforms

Client Collaboration

  • Partner with AI Automation Consultants to quantify process inefficiencies during discovery
  • Support pre-sales efforts with data-driven opportunity assessments
  • Present findings to clients in a clear, confident, and consultative manner
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and best practices

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a data analyst or business intelligence role
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation
  • Experience with visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Google Data Studio)
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills including pivot tables and data modeling
  • Ability to translate business questions into analysis and vice versa
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Experience working with CRM data (Salesforce, HubSpot)

Bonus Points

  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis
  • Background in operations, process improvement, or consulting
  • Familiarity with automation platforms (Zapier, Make.com, n8n)
  • Experience serving SMB clients or in an agency environment
  • Understanding of basic statistics and A/B testing methodology
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
