Be the answer AI gives.

Your next customer is asking ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google's AI Overviews who to hire — and those engines are answering with somebody. Generative engine optimization (also called AEO or AIO) is the discipline of becoming that answer: a machine-readable positioning layer, entity architecture, retrieval-ready content, and the index plumbing AI search actually reads. We run the same program on our own site and measure it with live monthly probes of each engine — so you see whether the AI names you, not a vanity dashboard.

AI VISIBILITY AUDIT — CREDITED TOWARD YOUR BUILD

What you get

What's in the build

One-time fee. Documented. Owned by you.

AI Visibility Audit (the baseline)

01

We probe each engine with the questions your buyers actually ask and log the answers: are you named, who is, and which sources the AI cited. You get the transcript — a baseline nobody can argue with, for $2,500, credited toward implementation.

Entity & schema architecture

02

Organization, Service, FAQ, and breadcrumb structured data wired into a coherent entity graph — with sameAs corroboration across your profiles — so machines resolve WHO you are before deciding whether to recommend you.

Machine-readable positioning layer

03

We encode your positioning, verified facts, pricing, and proof in the emerging machine-readable formats AI assistants ingest — a deployed, versioned layer most of your competitors don't know exists, kept current as your offer evolves.

Retrieval assets

04

AI engines cite dated, sourced, quotable pages — comparison tables, verified pricing, original data. We build the specific content formats retrieval favors, aimed at the question classes your buyers ask.

Index plumbing

05

AI crawler access, IndexNow submission into Bing (the index ChatGPT search reads), RSS, clean sitemaps, and canonical hygiene — the unglamorous layer most agencies skip and most AI invisibility traces back to.

Monthly measurement

06

The same probes, re-run monthly, logged against baseline: named or not, cited or not, versus which competitors. GEO without measurement is astrology.

Use cases

Where it earns its keep

AI never mentions you

01

Buyers ask ChatGPT for the best provider in your category and you are simply absent. The audit shows exactly why — then the program closes each gap.

A competitor is the AI's answer

02

One rival gets recommended by name every time. We reverse-engineer the sources the engines cite for that answer and build your presence in and around them.

Rankings fine, AI invisible

03

You rank on Google but AI Overviews and answer engines skip you — classic entity and retrieval-format gaps, and the most fixable case of all.

New brand or category

04

Too new for training data — like every company founded after 2024. The retrieval layer is your only door in, and it is entirely winnable.

Five phases. Thirty days to live.

Questions

Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) — FAQ

What is generative engine optimization?

GEO is optimizing your web presence so AI systems — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google's AI Overviews, Claude — recommend and cite your business when people ask them questions you should win. It spans machine-readable positioning, entity/schema architecture, retrieval-friendly content, and the indexing plumbing AI search reads.

GEO vs AEO vs AIO vs SEO — what's the difference?

GEO (generative engine optimization), AEO (answer engine optimization), and AIO (AI optimization) are three names for the same discipline; we target all three because searchers use all three. Traditional SEO optimizes for ranked lists of links; GEO optimizes for being THE answer in a generated response. They overlap — good SEO feeds retrieval — but GEO adds layers SEO ignores: entity architecture, machine-readable positioning, citation-format content, and answer measurement.

How do you measure whether it's working?

Live probes: we ask each engine your buyers' actual questions monthly and log whether you're named, what's cited, and who wins otherwise — against the baseline from your audit. Plus the indirect signals: AI-Overview citations, Bing indexation, and referral traffic from AI surfaces.

What does GEO cost and how fast does it move?

The AI Visibility Audit is $2,500 and takes about two weeks, credited toward implementation. A typical implementation is a one-time $7,500 — same ownership model as everything we build: your schema, your machine-readable layer, your content, documented and handed over. Retrieval-layer changes can show up in weeks; consensus-building (being cited across sources) compounds over one to two quarters.

Can't we just do this ourselves?

The concepts are public — nothing here is secret knowledge, and we won't pretend otherwise. What you're hiring is execution and measurement: knowing which of the dozen levers matters for YOUR queries, building the retrieval assets to a standard engines actually cite, running the probe infrastructure that tells you whether it worked, and doing the off-site consensus work that no checklist covers. Most DIY GEO efforts deploy one tactic, skip measurement, and conclude the discipline doesn't work. If you'd rather build it in-house, start with the $2,500 audit — the baseline and gap map are yours either way.
