Platform / NocoDB

Spreadsheets that grew up.

NocoDB turns a real database into something your whole team can use — grid, kanban, form, and gallery views over Postgres. We design the schema, build the views, and wire it into your automations, so operations data finally has one trustworthy home.

Why this platform

Why teams choose it

End the Spreadsheet Sprawl

01

When the same customer exists in four spreadsheets with three phone numbers, every report is a guess. NocoDB gives each record one home with types, validation, and relations.

Familiar on the Surface, Solid Underneath

02

Your team sees a spreadsheet; your business gets a Postgres database — queryable, automatable, and connectable to every other tool you run.

Open Source, No Meter

03

Free software with no row caps or seat pricing when self-hosted. A ~$20/mo server replaces what Airtable bills per head, per month, forever.

Built for Automation

04

Webhooks fire on record changes and the REST API covers everything, making NocoDB the natural data layer for n8n workflows and AI agents.

Views for Every Role

05

Sales sees a kanban pipeline, ops sees a grid, the field sees a mobile form — one database, presented the way each team actually works.

What we build

Capabilities we ship

Database & Schema Design

01

Tables, relations, and validation rules modeled on your real operations — customers, jobs, inventory, quotes — not a generic template.

Views, Forms & Dashboards

02

Grid, kanban, calendar, and gallery views per team, plus public forms that capture structured data straight into your tables.

Spreadsheet & Airtable Migration

03

Excel chaos and metered Airtable bases consolidated into clean schemas with history preserved and duplicates resolved.

Automation Integration

04

Record events trigger n8n workflows — follow-ups, invoices, notifications — and external systems write back through the API.

AI-Enriched Records

05

AI steps that classify, summarize, and enrich records automatically — meeting notes summarized onto the client record, leads scored as they arrive.

Access Control

06

Role-based permissions per table and view, so contractors, staff, and management each see exactly what they should.

Five phases. Thirty days to live.

Questions

NocoDB — FAQ

What is NocoDB and how does it compare to Airtable?

NocoDB is an open-source Airtable alternative with the same spreadsheet-style views over a real Postgres database. The differences: it is free to self-host, has no row or seat limits, and your data lives in standard SQL you can take anywhere.

Is NocoDB a replacement for our CRM?

It can be, for teams whose CRM needs are really structured-data needs: contacts, pipeline, activities. Paired with n8n automation it covers what many SMBs use a $50/seat CRM for. For heavy sales orgs, a dedicated CRM still earns its keep — we will tell you which side you fall on.

Can NocoDB handle our data volume?

Postgres underneath means hundreds of thousands of rows are routine on modest hardware. Volume limits you hit in Airtable or Google Sheets simply are not a factor at SMB scale.

How does NocoDB work with automation?

Every table exposes webhooks and REST endpoints. A new record can trigger an n8n workflow — send a quote, create an invoice, notify a rep — and workflows write results back. The database becomes an active participant in your operations.

What does a NocoDB build cost?

Schema design, views, migration, and automation wiring typically land within our standard $7,500 one-time build, live in 30 days. Self-hosted, the ongoing cost is a ~$20/mo VPS; the software is free.
