/ 01 · The challenge
A litigation firm wanted AI assistance across case review, document drafting, and client communication. It could not send privileged client files to any outside AI service — a contractual assurance from a vendor is not the same thing as the data never leaving.
The firm also did not want per-use fees that would grow unpredictably as adoption spread across the practice.
/ 02 · The build
We proposed a system running entirely on hardware the firm owns, using open-weight models so no case file leaves the building and no per-use charges apply.
It is designed to review case files, draft documents from the firm's own templates and prior work, and prepare client communications — always as drafts for attorney review, never as autonomous action. Nothing about running the model locally changes who holds professional responsibility.

This engagement is in design and has not yet been deployed, so there are no delivery results to report.
The design brings AI leverage to the firm's highest-volume work while keeping privileged material entirely private and holding costs fixed rather than usage-based.
